Pianist, DMA and Juilliard Faculty member

Astrid is one of the most inspiring people I know, having been incredibly successful in both her first career as a lawyer and her family life, while maintaining one of the most upbeat, optimistic, and forward-thinking personalities out there.

Through innovative thinking, genuine care and concern, and an immensely organized approach, Astrid has helped me refocus my core values, reshape my personal mission statement, and prioritize all the aspects of my life in which I am so invested. The focus in both my professional and personal life has brought my success and happiness to a new level.

Just at the moment I discovered that the field of life coaching existed a friend of mine referred me to Astrid and I was very happy to be among her first clients.  Similarly the coaching sessions themselves have opened me to lot of synchronicity in my life.   So often I have entered sessions with Astrid feeling overwhelmed and conflicted, and so often I come out of a session feeling aligned and empowered.   It's wonderful how she can slice through so much of my confusion and assist in creating a sense of clarity.   Astrid has boundless positive energy and at the same time is an acute listener. Though I feel I have a ways to go, I am quite aware that since I have been coaching with Astrid, I have maintained more consistent focus and spent more time doing the things I love than before.  I have recommended her to friends and will continue to do so.

One-on-One Coaching

One-on-One Coaching

One-on-one coaching is a dynamic partnership that you—the expert in your life—and I—the expert in the coaching process create together. Our relationship is built on trust and our sessions are totally confidential. Together we determine what you really want and how to get there.

The Process

Goal-setting: Some clients come in with clear ideas of what they want to accomplish. These ideas become the initial coaching goals which we continually review and refine as we get more information about you and what is at your core.

Other clients know that something is not quite working in their lives but they cannot see what that something is. In that case, the initial goal is to help you figure out who you really are and what you really want. Once you know yourself, your coaching goals will emerge clearly.

Assessments: In order to set goals that you are motivated to work towards, we assess your strengths, your values, your passions and your talents. I am also certified to give the Energy Leadership Assessment [connect to Energy Leadership Assessment] which pinpoints where you are experiencing stress in your life so that we can determine how to get you the results that you want with greater ease.

Obstacles to success: We identify what is getting in the way of accomplishing your goals:

  • external circumstances like the economy, time, your existing skill sets or your health; and
  • internal factors like perfectionism, fear, assumptions based on past behavior or unexamined limiting beliefs about yourself and your abilities.

Actions: We break down the steps that you need to take in order to reach your goals. We examine your strategies—the big-picture actions that you need to get to your goals—and the tactics—the day-to-day activities that will get you to achieve your goals. We also come up with actions designed to overcome the blocks to your goals.

Accountability: In each session, we review the actions you took or did not take and extract the learning from these actions. As your accountability partner, I am there to support you and motivate you.

Results: Before you know it, you will begin to experience the power of being in charge of your life and know what it is like to work “smarter,” not harder. Through weekly action steps, you will see meaningful changes in your career, your relationships, your finances and any other important aspect of their lives.

  • We then meet weekly in 45-minutes sessions either in-person or over the telephone.
  • After three months, you have the option of continuing weekly sessions, transitioning to bi-weekly sessions or periodic check-ins.
